NYB Announces Second Leg of Summer Clinic Series

NOBLESVILLE YOUTH BASEBALL ANNOUNCES SECOND LEG OF SUMMER CLINIC SERIES

Believe it or not, Travel Tryouts for the 2015 season are just around the corner!!  Most tryouts begin in late July and run through August....great upcoming opportunity to be prepared!

Travel Tryout Preparation Camps!! July 8-9 (Tues/Wed), July 14-15 (Mon/Tues), and July 21-22 (Mon/Tues) from 9:00AM-12:00NOON each day. Camp will focus on all aspects of travel tryout evaluations.  Camp drills are designed to develop the 5 tools of a baseball player which include running (speed), arm strength, hitting, power, and defensive skills.  Camp will be college showcase / pro tryout format, which is similar to the format of most travel tryout evaluations.  We will teach each stage so you can be better prepared when your official tryout date arrives.  Ages 9-14, cost $85 for one week, $155 for 2 weeks, $225 for 3 weeks. Space is very limited!

When registering, select which week(s) you want your player to attend.  You can select one, two or all three.  The volume discount will be applied during the final step of the checkout process.

About Wes Whisler:

Wes Whisler graduated from Noblesville High School in 2001, and was named Indiana's Mr. Baseball his senior year. He accepted a baseball scholarship to UCLA, where he led the PAC 10 in home runs, was named All-PAC 10 and Freshman All-American. He played in the Cape Cod Summer League where he was named Top Prospect in the league by MLB General Managers. He was selected in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2004 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Wes made his Major League Debut in 2009 with the Chicago White Sox.  Played 10 years of Professional Baseball.

About Jason Taulman:

Jason Taulman's coaching career includes three seasons as a coach in professional baseball, serving with the Ohio Valley Redcoats of the Frontier League and the Lafayette Leopards of the Heartland League. He additionally served as pitching coach at Butler University and Ball State University.

Jason pitched at St. Joseph’s College, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in 1995. That same year, his baseball team was crowned Great Lakes Valley Conference Champions. He spent five seasons as a professional pitcher, playing with the Sioux Falls Canaries and Lafayette Leopards.  In 1998 Jason pitched the first perfect game in modern day independent minor league history, which earned a feature story in Baseball America. In 1997 he was a Heartland League all-star, and in 1995 was named a Mid-America League all-star by Baseball America. His 1995 and 1996 squads were also league champions.

Over the years Jason has coached over 30 players who have signed professional contracts and dozens more who have earned college scholarships.
